Automated Statements (for Microsoft Dynamics NAV)

Keeping customers in the loop

A company normally has several transactions with each customer, of many different types (invoices, payments, credit memos, and so on), possibly in different currencies. Some customers may have queries about the details of specific transactions; if they have lost the original document, they can contact the company for a copy, but this is inconvenient and time-consuming.

The customer statement provides a compact summary of all this activity, and a balance for each currency. With Automated Statements, the company can easily send customers a digital copy of their statement in PDF format by e-mail. The PDF is hyperlinked, so that customers can click on a specific invoice or payment, and an electronic copy of that document will be immediately sent by e-mail, saving time and hassle on both sides.

Performance Quick Scan

The Performance Quick Scan offers insight in solutions
Numerous factors and parties are involved in the performance of your Dynamics AX solution. When problems arise, it can be difficult to put your finger on the cause. When these problems arise, the Performance Quick Scan from Crimsonwing Promentum quickly identifies the source of the problem, and offers possible solution approaches.

Independent and objective
As an independent party, we conduct a structured analysis of your situation in just two days, working bottom-up from Dynamics AX. We use the standard Microsoft tools in Dynamics AX and SQL server to make measurements from the system. From those measurements, we look at your business processes, reveal the interdependencies and offer concrete actions and areas for improvement. After three months, we carry out a one-day evaluation to monitor the action plan’s progress. In this way, the Performance Quick Scan gives you not only a concrete handle to improve your performance, but also gives you the tools to actually realize improvements.

For organizations, it is advantageous to organize Dynamics AX as the central point where all logic comes together and is managed. In that way, the organizations then only have to invest in their knowledge of Dynamics AX and can make optimum use of all the available functionality. The Interface Portal from Crimsonwing Promentum makes these forms of integration possible. The Interface Portal acts as a kind of intermediary that brings together both incoming and outgoing data traffic in Dynamics AX. In this way, Dynamics AX lends itself extremely well to companies with a complex infrastructure and various legacy systems that want to perform a phased migration. These companies can realize a ‘lean and mean’ link without major investments and gain insight into the performance of their integrated environment

Reporting Add-on

Brings desired reports together in Dynamics AX
Dynamics AX includes an integrated report generator. However, the functionality is limited and there is only a limited link available to other external reporting tools. Moreover, you can only call the Dynamics AX report generator from the main menu and not directly from the screen. However, the Reporting Add-on from Crimsonwing Promentum does offer this additional functionality. With the touch of a button, you can call up a link to the desired reports, with which the variables are automatically linked to the customer or order screen you are on in Dynamics AX: fast, user friendly and immediately applicable.

Business Rule Engine

An organization’s knowledge of the end user can make or break the success of the organization.
IT systems must guarantee that knowledge when the direct, personal relationship between customer and supplier is lost. The complexity of business processes, changing rules and alternating personnel all increase the risk of faulty and incomplete information. The Business Rule Engine from Crimsonwing Promentum eliminates this problem without tinkering with the Dynamics AX software itself.

Transparent and flexible solution
In the Business Rule Engine, the business rules are configured separately, during which attention is given to interdependencies. When a certain business process demands more data, an error message follows automatically, accompanied by the action to be taken. In that way, the Business Rule Engine supports your employees’ customer focus in their daily activities.  When a business process changes or an upgrade is made, this can be easily adapted in the Business Rule Engine; and not as complex, custom software in Dynamics AX, but a transparent and flexible solution that enables your organization to anticipate changes at an early stage.

ViaMijnBank

Electronic billing with Dynamics AX
In the Netherlands, Rabobank, ING, Postbank and ABN Ambro have jointly introduced a new payment method – known under the names Notabox, Digital Nota and ViaMijnBank – that enable you to receive invoices in your own internet banking environment. ViaMijnBank, a product from Crimsonwing Promentum, handles the communication between Dynamics AX and the new payment platform. ViaMijnBank processes the request, creates the digital invoices in PDF or HTML and sends the invoices to the payment platform. From there, the banks take up the invoice and the normal payment process comes into operation.

For quality in service and cost savings
The ViaMijnBank software does not have to be purchased. Payment is made based on an installation fee, a subscription and a fee per document sent. A standard Dynamics AX implementation is sufficient to be able to use this functionality. With ViaMijnBank, you can be sure that the customer receives your invoice. You save considerably on invoicing and follow-up and the system maintains an overview by making efficient use of a single central payment platform.
